Booked a couple of days beforehand. Guide was extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand for anyone with a limited understanding of geology. One hour in length but well worth it. Can be wet and slippery underfoot. Would recommend if you have any sort of interest in mining or local history.

The people who work here are absolutely lovely; so knowledgeable and generally beautiful people. The museum and the mine are brilliant and highly recommended. I only wish you didn't allow dogs into the mine.

Took the grandsons here and they thoroughly enjoyed it 5&8. The tour guide Theo was very knowledgeable. Excellent value for just under an hour. Then the boys wanted to look round the museum and eventually the shop to buy their own gold and fossils. A great day out during half term

Amazing trip with the family today with full mine tour and the best child friendly interacive museum ever l. The tour guide was very good but too professional as he wouldn't let us leave the children in the mine
