About Lidalia Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

Lidalia is a caravan and motorhome club site in Newcastleton, a small village deep in the Borders. Pitches come with electric hook-ups. The site has a sanitary block with showers, laundry facilities, a chemical disposal point and LPG stockist on site. Wireless internet is available. Dogs are welcome.

The village itself is on your doorstep—the Liddesdale Hotel and The Grapes Hotel are both a few minutes' walk away. The real draw here is the landscape: this is serious walking country in the Liddesdale valley, and the site specifically caters for hiking and wildlife breaks. The surrounding moorland and forest make this a base for longer treks into the Scottish Borders rather than a destination stop.

What visitors say

Fergus Cochrane

Really nice site. Very spacious pitches, peaceful, lovely surroundings and piping hot showers! Very nice and helpful owners on hand to help with any queries (make sure you visit the office which sells locally made crafts). Couple of cafes and a restaurant on the main street and a community owned petrol station (reasonably priced). We only visited Mollie's Place cafe which was really good. Nice riverside walks off the high street. You can also get the bus to Hawick and Carlisle. Great campsite

This is a caravan and motorhome park. It's well laid out, with plenty of space between pitches, the facilities are fantastic, free showers, that are not push button, washing up area, with washing machine and a drier. The owners are extremely welcoming, helpful and always on hand if needed. Highly recommended.
