About Queens Hotel and Spa

For travellers after a spa weekend or a simple seaside break without the fuss of driving into town, Queens Hotel and Spa makes a practical base, with Bournemouth itself less than a mile away and the New Forest National Park nearby for those who fancy a change of scenery. It's the kind of hotel that suits couples wanting a pool and jacuzzi to sink into, as well as families or groups happy with straightforward comfort over polish.

The 109 rooms are generally spacious, with air conditioning, free WiFi and drinks available in room, though some are on the tired side and could do with updating. Guests can expect a proper breakfast and solid bar food from the on-site restaurant and bar, alongside a gym, sauna and indoor pool for anyone wanting to unwind further. Meeting rooms and a wedding venue widen its appeal beyond leisure stays, and staff are consistently noted as friendly and helpful.

Free on-site parking makes arriving by car easy, and pets are welcome, so the hotel works for those travelling with dogs. Outside, there's a garden to sit in, plus pubs and restaurants nearby for evenings out. It's a hotel built around comfort and convenience rather than glamour, best suited to those who want a relaxed stay near the coast.

We had a wonderful stay and would like to give special thanks to Tina and Niha at reception. Before booking, I explained that I am recovering from major surgery and needed to make sure the room and bed would be comfortable for my recovery. Tina and Niha were incredibly kind, understanding, and professional. They happily showed us a room and took the time to answer our questions, which made us feel welcome and valued as guests. The breakfast was excellent, the spa facilities were lovely, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly and smiling. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and relaxing. There are a few areas where I believe the hotel could improve. The parking charges seem quite high for hotel guests and, in my opinion, parking should either be complimentary or offered at a significantly reduced rate for residents. We also noticed that there was no complimentary bottle of water in the room. In addition, there were no drinking glasses apart from the cups provided for tea and coffee, and no teaspoons were available—only wooden stirrers. These are small details, but they can make a noticeable difference to the guest experience. We also noticed a little mould in two areas of the bathroom, and some parts of the room could benefit from refurbishment and updating. However, despite these minor issues, the outstanding customer service made all the difference. The people working here are genuinely caring, professional, and welcoming. A special thank you again to Tina and Niha. Their kindness and willingness to help turned what could have been an ordinary stay into a very positive experience. We would be happy to stay here again and would recommend the hotel to others.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfy BUT, there was absolutely no where to put clothes. No wardrobe, no hooks (not even on the back of the door), no drawers, nothing. The room was a cosy double and my, was it cosy. Very little room either side of the bed. My room was next to the lift and every time the lift door opened or closed, it sounded like a chair with wheels was being scooted across the ceiling. Was due to stay 2 nights but checked out after the first night. I did ask to be moved, but they were fully booked. The staff were very polite and tried to help but with no other rooms available, there was little they could do

We had our second wonderful stay at the Queens Hotel Bournemouth. The hotel is ideally located, just a short walk from the beach and the town centre. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, while the staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The facilities were excellent, with a very enjoyable swimming pool that was clean and well-maintained, and pleasantly warm water. The jacuzzi was also a highlight, very relaxing and enjoyable. Breakfast offered a good selection of quality food, and the service throughout our stay was outstanding. A great choice for anyone visiting Bournemouth. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

I booked directly, when checking in I asked if breakfast was included as I couldn't see anything, the more then helpful receptionist said she will speak to the manager to see if I could have breakfast or not, she came back and said it was commentary as I booked directly. When I got into the room it was missing bin bags no big deal to me as I understand the pressures of housekeeping. Rooms was fairly clean as I expect for the size of the hotel. The only major issue is you hear footsteps whenever someone is walking around in the room above and there was a pump noise every 15 seconds or so. Trying to get a good night without ear plugs was hard. I would definitely stay again though.
