About Heathlands Hotel Bournemouth

Heathlands Hotel Bournemouth suits travellers who want a straightforward, affordable base close to the seafront rather than a polished boutique stay. With 130 rooms spread across four floors, it works well for families, golfing trips, or groups happy to trade a bit of gloss for space and value. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and pets are welcome, making it a flexible choice for those travelling with children or animals in tow.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and in-room drinks, and guests consistently mention that they are larger than expected for the price, though some rooms show their age and there's no air conditioning, so it's worth bearing that in mind during warmer months. The on-site restaurant and bar are well regarded, particularly for the food and the friendliness of the staff, and there's a garden with outdoor seating for quieter moments. A lift serves all floors, and meeting rooms are available for those combining business with a seaside break.

The location on Grove Road puts guests within reach of Bournemouth Pier and the town's wider attractions, with walking and cycling routes nearby, plus watersports, fishing, and a golf course for more active days. Pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area add further options once you're settled in. On-site parking is available, though it comes at an extra charge.

My experience in the hotel was not great at all. The rooms had mold and the ceiling was closing in. The beds were like concrete and i could not sleep well. The walls had cracks and there were stains everywhere. The floorboards were creaky, even though my room was on the ground floor, and the toilet flush lever had what seemed to be human feices stained a bit on it. And while we were booking, we saw the room pictures and it looked really good, but the room in real life was NOTHING like the pictures. The view out the windows was just a car park, and the room itself had no space for a family of 4. The people at reception were nice though, they helped with toiletries, and they are hard-working. The breakfast and dinner there made me have nausea. I liked how the beach was only a 5 minute walk to it. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for a nice and calming holiday and I am definetely not coming back to this hotel.

I had the most wonderful stay at this hotel, and I can’t thank the team enough for making my birthday so special! From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect—but the real highlight was the beautiful surprise they arranged for me. It was such a thoughtful gesture and truly made my day unforgettable. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to create a memorable experience. The room was शानदार, the service was exceptional, and every detail was handled with care. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and truly special stay. Thank you again for making my birthday so magical—I will definitely be coming back!

The worst hotel I've stayed in. The hotel needs a renovation. Online photos are not the same in reality. People should be able to view their rooms before paying to decide whether or not to stay. No value for money. Apart from that the staff were very friendly and warm welcoming
