About The Croham Hotel

The Croham Hotel occupies a Victorian property on Durley Road South, offering 41 rooms in an informal, easy-going setting rather than a polished chain feel. Bedrooms are on the cosy side, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, and drinks available in the room, with a lift serving the upper floors for those who'd rather skip the stairs.

Breakfast is included, and there's a bar on site for a drink at the end of the day. Free WiFi runs throughout, and practical extras include luggage storage, laundry service, and meeting rooms for those combining business with a Bournemouth stay. A garden gives guests a bit of outdoor space, and free on-site parking is a useful bonus in a seafront town where spaces can be hard to come by. Pets are welcome too.

The location suits those keen to explore on foot or by bike, with cycling and walking areas nearby, plus golf and fishing for more active pursuits. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment are all within easy reach, and watersports are on offer for anyone wanting to make use of the coast. It's a straightforward, no-frills base for a Bournemouth break.

If I could give it less than 1 star - I would! Awful place. I've stayed there, and had paid for parking. Got a letter after a year from an Enforcement Agency for non-payment of fee. NOT TRUE! Spoke to the hotel - with no interest whatsoever! Did not try to help or assist in any way! They've just figured out another way of squeezing money from their customers! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! STAY AWAY FROM IT!

It's the small things they say. This is too many small things: - The lamp in our room wouldn't turn on. We took it to Reception and they said they didn't have another one because they were fully booked. How about getting a few spare for exactly this situation? Since we booked a small room, having a light that wasn't the overhead one was important. - I'm not a tall man, barely 5'6, and the shower nozzle would touch my head. You couldn't extend it. - The front of the hotel says LIFT TO ALL FLOORS, the lift is not working. In high season. Very convenient for them. Wonder how long that has been broken? - There was no free breakfast due to corona measures. We're out of lockdown. Are the rooms cheaper? Of course not. So it's a problem only for the customer. - Our room was next to an emergency exit which was the only way to get in or out of that floor, since there are no lifts. This door closed on its own, slamming every time. You could feel it inside the room every time it happened. Every other door of this sort had a door stopper. I ended up putting a small towel there. I'm only giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because at least it was pretty clean. Avoid this hotel, they clearly don't care about you or are too cheap to do so (nothing cheap about the room prices tho)

Very warm welcome to a lovely hotel. We stayed in a family room, four friends with enough room for a couple of days away. Everything was clean and secure. The staff helped us with everything and a few issues that they didn't need to help with but went out of their way for us. The breakfast was tasty and filled us up for a good start to the day. Will definitely stay there again when going to Bournemouth.

We've been here four times now. Great hotel for the price and good location. Friendly staff and rooms basic but perfectly adequate with a nice big kettle! Only gripe is that they need to have the TV aerials repaired and batteries in the remotes. Bathroom good too with strong shower.
