We had a great one-night stay at this hotel. The staff were very polite and accommodating, allowing us to check in early when we arrived ahead of time. The room was clean, tidy, and met all our expectations. Having free parking was very convenient. It was a completely hassle-free stay from start to finish

Only a short walk from the jazz at the pier, this was by far a hotel with character in a holiday resort town/city that felt lacking much character otherwise. We only stayed for one night on trip along the south coast. Unlike most other places around Bournemouth that look in poor state of maintenance, this is a very well looked after, stylish and comfortable hotel, with very hospitable staff, at a very affordable price. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, modern bathroom, and a very generous "light breakfast" cooked on the spot!. Very pleased !

My partner and I decided to spontaneously stay at The Applewood Hotel and it didn't disappoint. Jenna, who greeted us, was warm and friendly. We booked breakfast and misunderstood that it was a booked timeslot (we arrived 2 hours later the following morning) but Tien, was very accommodating with our late breakfast arrival - the eggs were cooked to perfection! (Future guests - make sure you know what timeslot you book for breakfast!) The decor and artwork on the walls was a nice touch and added character to the hotel. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the garden area - there's always next time! The room was very clean - (thank you, Rosa and Julie!) and it was bright and quite spacious. The chocolates and tea were a nice touch and the streaming services worked smoothly. The location is perfect for restaurants - we walked to the Sexy Lobster at NEO - while we missed out on the lobster on the menu that evening, the food is fabulous!
