About Aberbran Fawr Campsite

Tucked alongside the River Usk on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Aberbran Fawr is a relaxed, family-run working farm with cattle, sheep, pigs and soft fruit. Pitches are generous and spread across peaceful riverside meadows, with a tidy facilities block offering hot showers and spotless modern toilets. Kids have a play area to burn off steam, and there's the bonus of picking seasonal fruit or stocking up on farm-fresh produce during your stay.

The setting is genuinely tranquil, ideal for families seeking a straightforward, reasonably priced base to explore mid-Wales. Campfires are allowed, dogs are welcome, and the owner clearly keeps an eye on maintenance – though the facilities remain deliberately basic rather than glamorous. With fishing, riding and watersports all close by, it's a no-fuss stopover that does the simple things well.

What visitors say

Paul Atkins

Fantastic camp site with great amenities, the showers were hot, the dish washing and local information facility was spot on, the kids play area was a really nice touch. We stayed in the meadow which was really nice , peaceful with the river nearby and the flowing water adding a peaceful sound, we met some really nice people who have been going there for years, who made us feel really welcome. Thoroughly recommended this place it's a great site in a great area.

Love this site, only spend the one night there but it was brilliant. Ample room, basically a field to myself and the kids. Was able to park close to the park so they could go off as and when they wanted. Very well kept. Nothing not to like about this site. Think this will become a regular site for myself. Don't need anything more.
