About Plough and Harrow

The rolling countryside around Felinfach sets the tone for the Plough and Harrow, a village pub-hotel just outside Brecon in Powys. It's the kind of setting that suits walkers and cyclists heading out for the day, with fishing and horse riding also within reach nearby, and a garden and outdoor seating area to return to afterwards.

Rooms here are simple and relaxed rather than showy, each with its own en-suite bathroom and drinks available in-room. Free WiFi and 24-hour reception cover the practical side, while free on-site parking makes it an easy stop for anyone exploring the area by car.

Downstairs, the bar and restaurant serve casual, locally sourced food, with breakfast included and packed lunches available for those heading out early. There's also a golf course, watersports and further pubs and restaurants nearby for guests who want to venture beyond the property. It's a straightforward, comfortable base for exploring the Brecon countryside.

Excellent stay here. Sue is a very welcoming host and we were delighted with the homely and relaxed atmosphere. Food was tasty and it was helpful to be able to get an evening meal. Special mention to the friendly Paddy (the pub Jack Russell).
