About Bishops Meadow Caravan and Camping Park
Bishops Meadow sits on the northern edge of Brecon, close enough to walk into town for supplies or an evening meal but far enough out to have open views south towards the Beacons. This five-star Visit Wales park offers around eighty pitches, from small grass tent plots to fully serviced gravel hardstandings for larger motorhomes, all laid out on level ground that makes late arrivals straightforward.
The facilities set it apart from most touring parks in the area. A heated outdoor swimming pool with poolside patio opens daily from May to September, weather permitting, and there's a children's play park alongside. You'll also find a bar, restaurant and cafe on site, plus laundry and a small shop selling milk, bread, groceries and ice cream. The combination of pool, food and playground makes this an unusually easy option for families who don't want to cook every night, though some visitors note the site can feel a little tired in places.
As a base it works well for the central Beacons, with Storey Arms trailheads about twenty minutes away by car and Brecon's canal basin, market and shops within easy reach on foot or by bike. Dogs are welcome. The park runs through the main season rather than year-round, with August and bank holidays naturally the busiest periods.

Camping Review - Just back from 5 very wet and windy nights of tent camping here. The week after half term and the field was sparsley populated with just one other tent camper and a few mobile campers. The field was well looked after, half the field is taken over by meadow and there are spectacular views across to the mountains. The field is on a slight incline and there is an A Road at the bottom of the field but being this close to Brecon you have to expect a little traffic noise. There is also a small play area for the kids on the field and as we went on a quiet week, there was plenty of space to roam around. Facilities were nice and clean and the showers were the hottest I have found while camping. I was extremely grateful for them after using the outdoor swimming pool which was lovely and warm but the short trip between pool and showers with the awful weather we had was definitely an experience. All in all, we enjoyed our visit, the warden "Mike"? was very friendly and helpful and helped to make our stay a better one. We would visit again, hopefully with better weather. Only thing I would improve was the freezer. It wasn't an issue as we were the only ones using it but it was small, and as campers, we rely on ice packs to keep food fresh. It might be an issue at busier times. So all in 5 stars. It makes a great basecamp for exploring the area with just enough touches of luxury to make even the wettest of weeks bare able. Oh, have to mention the incredible 5g speeds at the site as well, actually faster than my home Internet. Thanks for having us.

Great camping site just off the main road. Excellent views across to PenYFan. Friendly staff. Clean toilets. Great showers. Lovely big camping field. Used it for our DoE students and base for teaching staff. Restaurant adjacent. Has a small pool too.

Really beautiful place to camp. Stunning scenery (from the field camping area). Pool looked great but I didn’t use it, it’s heated though, so that’s a bonus! Laundry room, dishwashing area, microwave, books to borrow or exchange, board games to use. Didn’t use the showers myself, but my friends did and said they were lush. Campsite managers were SO LOVELY! Went to Hills burger place situated right outside the site and it was absolutely delicious but SO EXPENSIVE.

Beautifull views. Pitches not very flat so need ramps. Facilaties very clean, lovely owners. A small outdoor heated pool an extra bonus.
