About Burton Springs Holidays
Burton Springs Holidays sits just outside Burton, making a handy base for touring Somerset's cider country and coast. The site welcomes dogs and allows campfires, with pitch options ranging from electric grass and hardstanding to non-electric tent spots, plus a few glamping extras — family camping pods and quirky Lotus Belle tents, including a special 'Stargazer' version. Electric hook-ups are available across most pitches, and the site stays open year-round for hardy souls.
Facilities cover the basics — showers, toilets, drinking water, waste disposal — though there's no Wi-Fi, so you're genuinely off-grid here. It's a straightforward, no-frills set-up that won't wow design-conscious campers, but for a dog-friendly, flexible pitch in a quiet Somerset village, it does the job well.

What visitors say
We are camping in a tent at the moment, but there are yurts and Pods available to rent. This place is lovely and the owners literally can't do enough for you. There is a lovely play area for children and one for dogs too with toys for them to play with. There are individual toilets with a shower in and an excellent disabled toilet and shower (wet room style) with grab rails and a chair. The washing up area is great too. There is a shop with bits and pieces in which also sells bits for fishers. There a a few lovely little lakes too with Pods next to the water with electric too. A games room with games, books and a sofa. A fridge freezer, microwave and kettle to use too !! Its a good location too. We are having such a lovely time here. Thank you Jen and Gareth . Especially when we needed something printed off in an emergency xx

We stayed at Burton Springs Campsite over the bank holiday weekend with a group of friends, and it happened to coincide with their annual fete — which made the trip even more enjoyable. The campsite itself was fantastic, with clean toilets and showers, plus a small on-site shop that was perfect for grabbing cold drinks during the hot weather. The fishing lakes were beautiful and peaceful, creating a really relaxing atmosphere. The pitches were spacious, with plenty of room to park next to the tents, which made everything much more convenient. There was also a large fridge/freezer, microwave, and shared kitchen area available to use, which was incredibly handy for a weekend stay. The annual fete was definitely a highlight — great people, live music, food, and drinks all weekend created such a fun and friendly atmosphere. We had an amazing time, would definitely recommend this campsite, and will absolutely be returning in the future.

We joined our family who were caravanning at the site several days before and ended up booking a Lotus Belle tent for one night. It was absolutely amazing, owners were great especially as we hadn't booked in advance. We felt really relaxed and found everything easily. The lotus was immaculate, there are full mini bathrooms in the bathroom block, no separate toilets and showers and they were pristine. The fishing lakes were beautiful, those in our group who came to fish said it was great and for those who didn't, sitting and watching the view was just as dreamy! There's also a massive focus on ensuring the fish are treated humanely which was very reassuring. The site is child and dog friendly, they were very accommodating with our dogs as between all of us we had 7 and allowed us to space the dogs evenly per caravan / lotus with no hassle. The whole family loved the trip and cant wait to come back!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Great little spot nice a quiet plenty to see some lovely walks down to the beach. The facilities were spotlessly clean ! They have a dog play area where I could let the dog off and have a run around which was fantastic. Even had sausages in the shop from Thor own pigs the honey sausage were lovely. Very welcoming would highly recommend staying here even if your not fishing !
