About OYO Fab Guest House

Brighton's mix of seafront attractions and city-centre buzz is within easy reach of OYO Fab Guest House on Charlotte Street. The pier and the Royal Pavilion are both close by, making this a practical spot for anyone wanting to explore the town without needing to travel far from their room.

The guest house has 14 rooms done out in a retro style, each featuring custom artwork and fitted with an en-suite bathroom. A free continental breakfast is included, and there's a bar on site for evening drinks, along with free WiFi and a 24 hour reception for whenever guests arrive or need assistance.

Beyond the doorstep, the local area offers pubs, restaurants and entertainment, plus golf, fishing and watersports for those wanting to venture further afield. It's worth noting that opinions on the property are mixed, so guests should expect a simple, budget-focused stay rather than a polished one.

I got called here by the “managing agent” of the building but was given lack of information about the job and no one knew we were even meant to be there so it was off to a great start. After turning up I was warned by a couple of guests that this place was dodgy, boy was that an understatement. After walking up the stairs the place was dirty grimy and just felt off the moment you stepped in. After going up a couple floor I saw that somebody had clearly been hurt or attacked at some point as it was all over the stairs and wall and there had been no attempt at cleaning up covering up what had happened. Overall I didn’t stay here more than I had too and would definitely not recommend staying here for a second.

Everything, such a worst property. Never gonna book any Fab hotel and this is my worst experience. It all starter with the booking itself. Booking.com says nothing to pay until you check in. But just after booking, got mail from fab hotel to pay money to confirm your booking. If that’s the case, why the hell you are in booking.com. I had to call fab hotel and then paid the money. The room was very dirty, beds are not good, stinking smell. The bathroom is in worst condition. Towels are torn out. No hot water. Thanks god i have not stayed with family. Its not at all family hygiene.

Was really pleasantly surprised as I’d recently read reviews that were pretty bad (had booked a long time ago). The location was fab, the check in process was emailed to us and was really simple (we were also called the night before check in but I’d missed the call). The room was basic but really clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay (and the bed was comfortable). We’d parked in the Buzz Bingo car park which was a few minutes walk away and less than £20 for the night, so overall it was great value for money for the trip

The hotel looks great, with the design and layout really quirky. The tub was amazing and the room size was great. Unfortunately, the lack of any staff on site to help (tv remote had no batteries) and there not being a door on the toilet (the glass door had been smashed off before we got there) were just the start of the negative aspects of our stay. The worst part of the stay was the bed. Incredibly uncomfortable mattress, sheets that didn't fit, and a base that fell apart.
