Broadland's countryside sits within reach of Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and a stretch of coastline dotted with traditional resorts. Hall Cottage occupies its own corner of 15 acres of landscaped grounds at Oxnead Hall, a Grade II* listed building, with views across a lake and towards the 13th-century church of St Michael. The grounds are yours to explore, though the main hall occasionally closes its gardens during weddings and private events.
Three bedrooms and three bathrooms serve six guests: a king with ensuite on the ground floor, a four-poster king and a double on the first floor, plus a separate bathroom with a bath and shower. Downstairs, an open-plan space combines living, dining and kitchen areas, with an electric woodburner for cooler evenings. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering—microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washer-dryer—and there is wi-fi throughout. Essentials such as bed linen, towels and heating are provided. A lawned garden with furniture sits outside, and parking for three cars is available on site. Smoking is not permitted. Note that an unfenced lake is present in the grounds.
Cromer's sandy beaches lie 13 miles away; Sheringham is 17 miles. Blakeney Quay, 21 miles south, offers a coastal path and boat trips to see seals. Norwich itself, 9 miles north, has a cathedral, castle museum, shopping centre and theatres. An RSPB bird reserve and salt marsh reserve are 20 miles off.
