A Grade II listed estate, Oxnead Hall occupies 15 acres of Norfolk countryside near Norwich, with its own lake and landscaped gardens. The main house and annexe together provide ten bedrooms and ten bathrooms, sleeping up to twenty guests, with the whole property available for private hire. Most bedrooms have ensuite facilities; bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, and there are two sitting rooms with smart televisions. Parking for twenty cars is available on-site.
The estate sits beside the 13th-century Church of St Michael. Inside, accommodation ranges from four-poster kingsize beds to double rooms, several with roll-top baths. An unfenced lake occupies part of the grounds, which guests have access to. The large courtyard provides outdoor seating and garden furniture. Smoking is not permitted. The property suits groups and families needing substantial space—corporate retreats, wedding parties, multi-generational gatherings—or those simply wanting to book an entire country house for themselves. Keepers Meadow lies nearby.

Everything was perfect, despite the soring temperature reaching over 30 degrees at the end of May. The setting is stunning, places with shade swiftly set up for cocktails following the ceremony in this idyllic venue. Canapes, wedding breakfast were absolutely delicious, presentation very refined. The staff were unbelievably attentive to every detail without being intrusive. As parents to the bride, we can recommend the venue wholeheartedly. Special thanks to Amy and the chef.

As external wedding planners and stylists, we genuinely could not recommend Oxnead Hall highly enough. From the very beginning, it truly felt like our clients had the two best teams working together seamlessly, with everyone completely aligned in creating the most incredible experience for them and their guests. A huge thank you to Liz Stanley, who was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Leading up to the wedding, Liz really took the time to understand the couple, what mattered most to them, and how the day needed to feel. We loved how collaborative the process was, clearly defining responsibilities and working together in a way that felt calm, organised and completely in sync. As planners, you can always tell when a venue genuinely welcomes external teams, and Oxnead absolutely does. We felt so supported from start to finish and never like “just another supplier.” The entire team on the day were wonderful and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. A special mention also has to go to Amanda, the late-night manager, who was fantastic. As we were also styling the wedding, the team were incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed, including a little extra access time which made such a difference when delivering a large-scale wedding. Oxnead Hall is not only a stunning venue, but also a genuinely lovely place to work, filled with people who truly care about creating exceptional weddings.
