You enter into an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space that handles everything in one room—cooking, eating and relaxing—with a gas fire and TV for quieter evenings. Two bedrooms lead off: one with a double bed, the other with two single beds. There's a shower room with heated towel rail. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the gas heating and kitchen equipment let you cook proper meals rather than relying on takeaways.
The property sits on grounds shared with other pitches on site, with private parking for two cars. From the windows you look out across the lake itself, where kingfishers and other waterbirds are regular visitors. Walking trails loop the water and push out into the heathland beyond—the kind of place where a morning can disappear into a ramble without trying. Aylsham, Blickling Estate and the Broads are all within reach for day trips. Note that the lake is unfenced and there are steps both to the entrance and within the grounds, and you may hear occasional daytime noise from a nearby woodyard. One pet stays free.

My partner and I stayed at this campsite and it was amazing. The lakes themselves are stunning and very secluded in the lush woodland, making the stay extremely relaxing and serene. The surrounding heath is a lovely trail to walk whilst enjoying the views of the outer fields. The campsite itself was very clean and well kept, with a toilet block (with background radio as a nice touch), showers, drinking water and washing up station near and accessible within a short distance. The whole experience was very relaxing, especially with the wildlife at home at the lakes, and we will definitely be coming back again and again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This campsite is such a hidden gem of Norfolk! Myself and my partner were so impressed with the cleanliness and maintainence of the grounds as well as the facilities on the grounds (toilets, showers, wash room, drinking water tap etc.). The scenery around the lakes and the neighbouring heaths were beautiful and really made us feel at one with nature! Our camping experience was made even better knowing this site is located right on our doorstep making it our new go to for camping! We will definitely be returning soon!

The lakes are absolutely beautiful. We had such an amazing time camping and we'll definitely be going again! There are so many lovely spots to set up camp and plenty of walking opportunities. Probably my favourite camping ground in Norfolk. A real gem!

My wife and I had a great stay camping at Hevingham Lakes with our spaniel, Luna. The team were super friendly and really helpful. The campsite itself is so peaceful with lots of space to relax. Walking around the lakes was a real highlight. They are so peaceful and scenic. Plus, Buxton Heath is right next to the campsite and great for longer walks if you’re into nature and exploring. All in all, it’s a lovely place to switch off for a few days. We would highly recommend!
