The mobile home sits on a walking-friendly site with paths around the water and across adjacent heath; the setting draws birdwatchers and those after quiet time outdoors. The open-plan layout brings the kitchen, dining and living areas together on the ground floor, practical for families who want to cook while staying connected. One bedroom has a double bed, the other contains two single beds; a shower room serves both. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and one dog stays free.
The grounds are shared with other properties, though you get your own parking for two cars. The lake is unfenced and there are steps both to the entrance and within the grounds—worth noting if you have young children or mobility considerations. A gas fire and electric heating keep things warm, and the kitchen has a cooker, microwave and fridge for self-catering. No smoking is permitted throughout. Walking and cycling routes branch out from the site into the surrounding countryside; Aylsham market town, the Blickling Estate and the Norfolk Broads all fall within reach for day trips.

My partner and I stayed at this campsite and it was amazing. The lakes themselves are stunning and very secluded in the lush woodland, making the stay extremely relaxing and serene. The surrounding heath is a lovely trail to walk whilst enjoying the views of the outer fields. The campsite itself was very clean and well kept, with a toilet block (with background radio as a nice touch), showers, drinking water and washing up station near and accessible within a short distance. The whole experience was very relaxing, especially with the wildlife at home at the lakes, and we will definitely be coming back again and again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This campsite is such a hidden gem of Norfolk! Myself and my partner were so impressed with the cleanliness and maintainence of the grounds as well as the facilities on the grounds (toilets, showers, wash room, drinking water tap etc.). The scenery around the lakes and the neighbouring heaths were beautiful and really made us feel at one with nature! Our camping experience was made even better knowing this site is located right on our doorstep making it our new go to for camping! We will definitely be returning soon!

The lakes are absolutely beautiful. We had such an amazing time camping and we'll definitely be going again! There are so many lovely spots to set up camp and plenty of walking opportunities. Probably my favourite camping ground in Norfolk. A real gem!

My wife and I had a great stay camping at Hevingham Lakes with our spaniel, Luna. The team were super friendly and really helpful. The campsite itself is so peaceful with lots of space to relax. Walking around the lakes was a real highlight. They are so peaceful and scenic. Plus, Buxton Heath is right next to the campsite and great for longer walks if you’re into nature and exploring. All in all, it’s a lovely place to switch off for a few days. We would highly recommend!
