Pintail

Pintail sits on the Norfolk Broads with direct river access, putting you within reach of some genuinely distinctive territory. The coast—Great Yarmouth's seafront or the dunes and seal colonies at Winterton-on-Sea—is a short drive. Norwich, with its castle, cathedral and market, is accessible by train from the station a ten-minute walk away. Locally, a pub serving food is under half a mile on foot, and the village has shops and another eating place a mile distant.

This single-storey lodge has everything on one floor: a double and a single bedroom, a shower room, and an open-plan living area with large windows overlooking the water. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included. A small terrace and lawn face the river, and you have the use of a private quay for fishing (you'll need your own licence). One car can park on site. An unfenced riverside lies 10 yards from the building. The property takes one dog.

It suits people wanting to base themselves for exploring the Broads by boat, or simply for watching the water traffic and wildlife—herons and kingfishers are regular visitors. Walking and cycling routes run through the area. No smoking inside.
