River Bay

River Bay suits couples and small families seeking a riverside base in the Norfolk Broads. The detached lodge sleeps four across two bedrooms—a kingsize and two singles—each with its own ensuite shower room. Ground-floor living means no stairs: an open-plan space flows from the kitchen through a dining area to a sitting room with Freeview Smart TV, and from there onto a veranda overlooking the garden and water beyond.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; heating and electricity are covered too. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. You have your own parking and the whole place to yourself, with a garden sloping down to the riverbank and somewhere to sit outside.

The location is the main draw. The lodge stands on the water's edge within a private marina on the River Yare, with a slipway if you bring your own boat, or moorings for hiring locally. Brundall village is moments away—a working boat-building centre with a railway station, shops, restaurants and pubs within a mile. The Broads themselves are your playground: water, wildlife and quiet villages in every direction. Fishing is possible in season with a licence. One well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking inside.
