River Rest

River Rest is a detached lodge on the water's edge at Brundall marina, with a private quay and mooring where you can bring your own boat, kayak or paddleboard. The property has its own slipway and a bait fridge. Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a kingsize bed and ensuite shower, the other with two single beds and a separate shower room. The open-plan ground floor has a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, a living area with smart TV, and French doors onto a decked veranda that overlooks the river basin and leads to a lawned garden. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.

Brundall sits at the heart of the Norfolk Broads National Park and is known for boat building and hire. The village has a railway station, shops, a post office, restaurants and local pubs—one is just across the river and another within walking distance. Great Yarmouth is easily reached by car or train, and coastal towns like Gorleston-on-Sea and Caister-on-Sea are nearby for days out. The lodge is a quiet base for exploring the waterways or relaxing by the water. One thing to note: there is an unfenced river ten yards from the property. No smoking is permitted.
