River Breeze

The Broads are made for messing about on water, and River Breeze puts you right at the edge of them. The lodge sits at a private marina feeding into the River Yare, with its own slipway and mooring posts. Bring a boat or hire one locally—Brundall, the village across the water, is the Broads' boat-hire hub and has a railway station if you'd rather leave the car behind. Fishing is possible in season (a bait fridge is on site), and you can launch kayaks and paddleboards straight from the property.

Three bedrooms and one bathroom sleep up to six. The ground floor is open plan, with a kitchen that has everything needed for proper cooking—electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave included. A sitting room with a smart TV and French doors opens onto decking; another set of doors leads from the dining area to a garden that runs down to the water's edge. Heating, electricity, bed linen and wifi are covered. There is unfenced river just 10 yards away. One dog is welcome. Parking for two cars is on site, and smoking is not permitted.

Brundall itself has a shop, post office, takeaways, a fish and chip shop, restaurants and pubs serving food. Great Yarmouth and the seaside villages of the Norfolk coast are within easy reach by car or train.
