Broadland's quiet countryside holds Orchid Lodge, a ground-floor retreat set within 3 acres of landscaped grounds dotted with two fishing lakes. The open-plan living space has a large window framing the water, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a shower room. Upstairs, a bedroom with two double beds and an ensuite complete the layout. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; underfloor heating keeps things warm. The site has private parking for two cars and a pub within a mile.
These grounds attract birds, wildlife and uncommon plants. Fishing is possible on-site (a licence is required), and walking the 3 acres and around the lakes is part of staying here. The setting suits those wanting quiet time away from bustle, though the Norfolk Broads lie 6 miles off and Norwich's shops and cathedral are 7 miles. Coastal towns and beaches can be reached within 16 miles. Smoking is not permitted inside.

This was great first experience for both of us . Loved every minute there , owner is great and friendly. No pressure, everything you need for short/long stay is there even a hairdryer 😂 , lodge is cosy ,warm ,clean and very modern. Quite place great for the break from busy everyday routine and civilisation 🩷 Great lake view from the bedroom window. It's our new getaway place in UK . Definitely be back next year . This place is hidden gem 💎 Thank you P.S. Neighbour horse Blake is very lovely and friendly,he loved his mints . Great memories 🩷

Lovely place. Very peaceful and well located for trips into north Norfolk. Well recommended for a peaceful relaxing break away from it all!
