What visitors say
Lovely place ,huge estate ,yet the house is fairly small ,but full of wonderful original features , it has uneven floors ancient oak floorboards and seems to be at a slight tilt ,lots of history in this wonderful house well worth a visit it is a national trust property and well cared for . It has a great cafe and second hand book store . Some lovely walks and was quite busy with dog walkers . Lovely, helpful , informative staff . We really enjoyed our visit ,would definitely go back when the orchards are in bloom they have the largest national trust orchards . Just beautiful .

There are plenty of scenic walking routes to do here. The house was closed when we visited so we will be back again to take a look inside but there is plenty to see outside. The cafe and bookshop was open. As with. Any national trust site, always serve delicious food and drinks. The orchard walk is a nice short walk especially if you have children, there's some wooden sculptures along the route to spot. There's a play area but we didn't visit this as we didn't have our children with us. There's carpark at the top and another further down a winding road that is closer to the main building. Toilets located at the top carpark and near the cafe

Brockhampton is a medieval manor house built in 1425. It was lived in until it was given to the National Trust in 1946. As you would expect with such an old property you get uneven floors and quirky bits, but it is an interesting house to visit as the rooms are played out in different time periods. From the Great Hall (1425) to the last sitting room (1940's). It has lots of long walks for those interested in exercise and lots of outdoor space for picnics in the summer. Only has a small cafe with limited indoor seating, but quite a bit of outdoor in the courtyard. All in all spent a pleasant 1 and half hours there to while away a Sunday afternoon.

Tudor manor house with a moat, managed by the National Trust. Interesting historic home brought to life by the volunteer room guides. Thank you. We'd visited a couple of years ago, but came back as it is such a lovely place. Glad we did. 😎👍👍👍👍
