About Aldridge Hill Campsite

Tucked into the New Forest near Brockenhurst, Aldridge Hill Campsite offers a genuinely back-to-basics escape surrounded by ancient woodlands and open heathland. With 120 non-electric grass pitches and no showers or toilets on site, it's a proper wild camping experience—but families love the stream running through the grounds where children can paddle and explore, and walkers and cyclists rave about the direct access to forest trails teeming with ponies and deer.

The friendly wardens keep things running smoothly, and the reasonable prices make it an excellent value base for visiting nearby villages and attractions. Just be prepared for the facilities-light setup: there's drinking water and W.C. disposal, but you'll need to bring your own camping loo and washing kit. Dogs are welcome, making this a wonderfully simple, nature-focused choice for those who want the Forest on their doorstep without the bells and whistles.

We had a wonderful time here; this is a beautiful place and surroundings. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that will stop us from returning is the way and the ramps, which rip off the bottom of our Motorhome Mercedes Sportivo. Now we know we need to watch out for ramps that are bigger than usual and old. The frame that keeps the water tank is very low and easy to damage or displace.

A really lovely campsite in the new forrest. Beautiful walks and a nearby stream where the children love to play. No toilet facilities on site so bringing your own is eseential. A beautiful place we really enjoy returning to.

Gorgeous, open flat open forest site with basic facilities. Very busy and noisy in August. Great natural places for children to play and discover the fun of stream bathing, tree climbing and open country. Lots of space to run around. The only downside is other campers. Most are great but some have their dogs off lead, sit out talking and laughing late into the night and letting their children run through your pitch.
