About Pentre Bach Camping
Tucked between Eryri's western edge and the coast near Caernarfon, this small family-run site punches well above its weight. With space for just a handful of tents on non-electric grass pitches, it's peaceful and intimate – accessed via a 200-metre drive that filters out road noise. Facilities are straightforward (toilets, free showers, washing-up area, composting loos, even a communal firepit) and the welcome is genuinely warm, whether you're wild-camping through on a single night or settling in for a longer stay with the family and the dog.
The location is the real draw. Two Snowdon routes start five minutes away by car, while Caernarfon Castle, the National Slate Museum and a raft of outdoor operators (coasteering, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking) sit within easy reach. Anglesey is 20 minutes over the bridge. It can feel pretty basic if you're after bells and whistles, but for walkers, cyclists and anyone chasing proper mountain access without the crowds, it's a gem.

Lovely quiet location near llanberis... we stayed in our camper just for a few days piece and quiet and it didn't disappoint.... pitch black at night and silent.... toilets and showers 🚿 are basic but do the job just fine... nice sink with hot water for washing up... we've stayed at places that have had nothing so this was fine with us.. we will visit again... good prices per person per night, their are also about 12 camping pitches for tents. Host is lovely and very accomadating.. Thank you very much Darren & April

Such a lovely campsite. Quiet , clean and has friendly owners. Was supposed to stay 2 nights but had to leave early for family reasons. Felt completely safe as a solo female camper. Will definitely be back!

Reminiscing with my friend when we stayed here last year when we did the pilgrims way. It was a really nice place to lay our heads for a night. Really good owners who made us feel welcome. Clean and comfortable. I have recommended to various friends :) Diolch yn fawr

Really exceptional bunkhouse with lovely owners. Great hot shower, nice outdoor area and comfy beds. Really well equipped kitchen. Was a warm shelter in the Winter for me and I'd love to stay again!
