Gwyrfai Cottage
Gwynedd
Gwyrfai Cottage sits where the foothills of Snowdonia meet the coastal plain of north Wales. From the conservatory and enclosed garden, you watch the Welsh Highland Steam Railway pass by on its route between Caernarfon and the mountains—the station is a short walk away, and next to it stands a local brewery pub. The setting puts you within reach of serious walking: the Snowdon Ranger Path is a few minutes' drive off, and gentler trails crisscross the area. Beaches on Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula lie within striking distance, while Caernarfon Castle and the zip-line courses at Zip World are both close by.
The cottage comprises two bedrooms (a double and a single, sleeping three) and a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs there is a living and dining room with a woodburner, a full kitchen with dishwasher, a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and the conservatory. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; logs for the fire come with your stay. One well-behaved dog stays free. Parking for two cars is on site. There are steep spiral stairs in the property, and the cottage does not permit smoking.
