About Canterbury Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Well-run club site at Bekesbourne, under three miles from Canterbury Cathedral, with level grass and hardstanding pitches tucked among mature trees and hedging. Standards are reliably high—amenity blocks cleaned on schedule, a resident warden, electric hook-ups, hot showers, laundry, a small shop and decent wi-fi coverage. There's a children's play area and a designated dog walk, and the site welcomes tents, caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents. Non-members can book direct, though Club members pay noticeably less; a couple of weekends here can justify joining.

The location is the real draw. Howletts Wild Animal Park sits next door, Bekesbourne station is a short walk for trains into Canterbury East, and a quiet lane avoids the A2 entirely. Walkers have the Nailbourne valley and Elham Valley Way on the doorstep, and the pubs at Patrixbourne and Bridge are both within a couple of miles. The site opens for the main touring season from early spring through autumn, so confirm dates before setting out.

Great location for walking into Canterbury. But if you can’t manage a 20 minute walk, there is a bus right outside. Very clean and well maintained, there was a pizza van on 2 nights, fish n chips one night and ice cream van most afternoons😋. Super friendly and helpful staff and very quiet despite its size. Fab woodland dog walk with an abundance of doggy bins 💩 😂

This is the 3rd time I've been to this campsite and it is becoming my favourite. The site is very well maintained the facilities are always in brilliant condition. The staff are wonderful. It's a short walk into canterbury but if you dont feel like walking there's a bus stop on the road outside. The site is very quiet. There are lots to good walks in the surrounding area.

Clean and well appointed site in a good position for Canterbury etc. DISAPPOINTED that they chose to bump the price up every night we chose to stay. No good reason given and not inexpensive to begin with. Not sure what membership is giving us.

Beautiful and quite, wonderful dog walking. Only problem was that one of the 2 shower and toilet facilities were 'CLOSED FOR WINTER" resulting in a queue(that i didnt join) disappointed 😔 They stay would've been perfect other than that .
