Eastbridge Canterbury - The Knights Apartment, Eastbridge Hospital
Canterbury
Canterbury Cathedral and the city's historic centre are within easy walking distance of this one-bedroom apartment, housed in Eastbridge Hospital itself. The building dates to 1190, when it served pilgrims travelling to Thomas Becket's shrine; the apartment sits on the first floor and retains period features including exposed timber beams and stonework alongside modern essentials like wifi and heating.
The space comprises a living room without a television, a kitchen with electric oven and hob for cooking proper meals, a bedroom with a kingsize bed, and a shower room. Everything needed for a self-catering stay is provided—bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included. There is parking for one car on site. Because of the building's age and construction, the floor slopes slightly and stairs lead to the apartments; the property is not suitable for children.
A pub sits within a mile's walk. The medieval character of staying within these 800-year-old walls, combined with the location at the heart of the city's attractions, makes this a distinctive base for exploring Canterbury.
