The Broomes is a first-floor apartment on the Kent coast near Whitstable, sleeping two people. Access involves climbing 18 narrow steps to the entrance; once inside, everything is on one level. The double bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, and open-plan kitchen-dining room and living space are all contained on the first floor, with an electric woodburner providing warmth during colder months.
The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven, a fridge-freezer and microwave, plus a washer-dryer for longer stays. The living room has a Smart TV with Freeview. Whitstable itself is a working fishing town on the north Kent coast, with oyster beds that have been worked for centuries. The beach is a five-minute walk away. A pub, shop and restaurant are all within 500 yards. Canterbury cathedral and its medieval streets are roughly 10 miles south; London is accessible by train.
