About Mercure Cardiff North Hotel

Circle Way East sits on the northern edge of Cardiff, with the M4 close at hand and Cardiff Bay and Cardiff Castle both a short drive away, making the Mercure Cardiff North Hotel a practical stop whether you're passing through or staying to explore the city. The surrounding area also offers easy access to golf, fishing and horse riding for those who want to venture beyond the city centre.

The hotel has 132 rooms across four floors, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi. Room service and drinks in the room are available for those who'd rather not leave, and a lift serves all floors. A restaurant and bar handle food and drink on site, with breakfast, packed lunches and kids' meals all catered for, and staff have been singled out for attentive, professional service, with the bar and restaurant team - Moses in particular - drawing regular praise.

Practical extras include a gym, laundry service, luggage storage, business and meeting facilities, and on-site parking, though this is chargeable. Pets are welcome, and pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby give guests plenty of options beyond the hotel itself.

We had an amazing stay! The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was just as impressive. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with excellent service throughout our meals. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and dining experience. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone for making our visit so memorable!

Service, particularly in the restaurant by Upashna and Saidur was fantastic. The food was lovely and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Gemma was also wonderful. Despite it being her first shift she was attentive and nothing was too much trouble. All in all we are very happy with the service we received.

After a long day on the road, I was met with a warm welcome at the reception desk and checked in swiftly. My room was adequate for my needs. A nice, strong shower was perfect after a day in the heat. I went down for my evening meal and didn’t have to wait long to get sat down. I had the sirloin steak, which was cooked to perfection, and had some delicious onion rings on the side. The service could not be faulted- from Upshana at the bar, to Gemma showing me to my table, and Moses taking my order. You could tell nothing was too much trouble; and it made me feel relaxed. A very nice stay.

Saidur, Upashna, Panchi and Gemma made me feel welcome in a place I had never been, something as a lone traveller you really appreciate. Room was lovely and clean, evening meal was great and service was fantastic. The hotel was picked for me as part of a conference, but I would definitely book again if I was to come to Cardiff.
