About The Laurels

Breakfast in a sunroom overlooking a patio garden is the standout feature at The Laurels, a straightforward bed and breakfast on Cardiff Road. Rooms here are kept simple rather than lavish, making this a place for guests who want a comfortable base rather than a design statement.

Beyond the sunroom and garden, The Laurels offers a fuller set of facilities than many small B&Bs, including a restaurant and bar on site, a gym, spa and sauna, and an indoor swimming pool. Free Wi-Fi and air conditioning are available throughout, and practical extras such as a laundry service, lift access, porter and concierge support, and valet parking make it workable for business stays or longer visits. The property also hosts weddings and meetings, with meeting rooms and business services on hand, and can arrange childcare for families who need it.

Free on-site parking is provided, a useful point for anyone driving into Cardiff. Fairwater lies a short distance away by road, and Weston Seaquarium gives visitors a nearby point of interest, alongside pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out.

Brilliant location for exploring St Fagans National Museum of Welsh History, close to Cardiff, and Barry, helps you have a car.

Modern, clean b and b. Nicely furnished and good breakfast. Julie is a lovely host. Great location with a pub just round the corner and the Welsh history museum across the road. Parking is a little tight though.

Very comfortable and welcoming. Our room a double with extra single bed and large settee. Full en-suite bathroom. We loved being so close to St Fagans Museum and being able to nip in via the back gate to it. Very handy for anywhere in the area and buses run from outside. Useful pub with food just round the corner. It's a B&B, not a hotel, so being out from 10 to 5 reasonable. We just filled in the spare time at the Museum. And we liked it enough to come back again.

A lovely B&B in an idyllic setting, just far enough from the city centre to be peaceful, yet close enough to be in the city in minutes. We received a very warm welcome, and the owners couldn't be more helpful! Nice clean rooms in a beautiful home, with en-suit facilities. Tasty breakfast in the sunroom/conservatory. Great value for money, and would definitely return and recommend
