The Lavvu
Carmarthenshire
The Lavvu is a Scandinavian structure inspired by the traditional dwellings of northern Scandinavia, standing alone on a four-acre woodland site in Carmarthenshire. It sleeps four in one bedroom—a double bed and two singles—within an open-plan ground-floor space that combines living, kitchen and sleeping areas. A wood-burning stove provides heat, and initial logs are included with your stay. The kitchen has a gas hob for cooking.
Shower facilities and toilets are in a separate external building shared with other properties on the site, as is a communal log cabin with a gas oven. You have a garden with seating, a firepit and barbecue for use. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. The woodland location attracts wildlife—woodpeckers, nuthatches and finches visit regularly, and ponds across the grounds support diverse plant and insect life. Car parking is on site. No smoking is permitted inside.
