Parlwr was once part of a working farm—a converted stone cow shed that now operates as one of three attached cottages on an 8½-acre smallholding. The building sits down a private lane in Carmarthenshire countryside, just over the Ceredigion border near Cwmsychpant. The grounds are shared with the owner and include alpacas, chickens and donkeys; there's an enclosed lawned garden with a patio where you can let your own pet run around freely.

Inside, everything is on one level across the lower ground and ground floors. A dining area sits near the kitchen, which has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and washing machine. The living space opens onto the patio via French doors and includes a 40-inch TV and DVD player. The single bedroom has a kingsize bed and an ensuite with a shower cubicle. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered; a welcome pack, travel cot and highchair are available on request. Off-street parking fits two cars.

Llanybydder is 10 minutes away; New Quay's beaches and harbour, where you can join boat trips to spot dolphins, are 25 minutes south. Walking routes start from the doorstep. The cottage takes pets free of charge, though smoking is not permitted.

Tim and Mandy are above all expectations! Where to begin to give them praise they deserve? I will start with their warm welcome, with wide smile, with taking time to speak with us, with welcome pack waiting for us in spotless cottage and more and more! Beautiful property with lots of hidden gems to relax and meditate, lots of animals for all donkey/dog/alpaca/goats/ponny lovers. All is in the right place and for spoling guests. This place is really little heaven🩵 For me THE BEST holiday cottage and will looking forward to come back again.

A great home from home with all mod cons (no dishwasher, though, contrary to advert). Very helpful hosts. Safe and peaceful. I even enjoyed the 3 storms while there with my dog, although the high winds and heavy rain limited our outdoor activities. Thankfully, no thunder or lightning. My dog would not have enjoyed that! The enclosed garden was a huge plus and enabled his favourite ball games, even in the rain. Much towelling of muddy dog, but still, the middle of nowhere was my choice. Don't take Vodafone. There is no signal. My dog enjoyed playing with theirs, an otterhound, no less!

My dog and I had a wonderful time here, despite 3 storms in one week (well, it WAS February) and no phone signal. (Do not bring Vodafone). Our hosts couldn't have been kinder or more helpful and the accommodation has all mod cons, with the peace and quiet of the countryside, and an enclosed garden for the dog. A perfect, homely holiday.
