What visitors say

We had the pleasure of meeting one of the museum's paleontologists, and his passion for his work was truly inspiring. He has an incredible knowledge of fossils, prehistoric life, and Earth's history, and he shares that knowledge with enthusiasm and patience. It is clear that he genuinely loves what he does, whether he is explaining exhibits, answering questions, or discussing new discoveries. His dedication brings the museum to life and makes learning both exciting and engaging for visitors of all ages. Thanks to his expertise and positive attitude, my visit was not only educational but also memorable. I highly recommend taking the time to speak with him if you have the opportunity.

Booked a private fossil hunting trip with Oliver and wow he blew us away, a lovely friendly and knowledgeable man who taught us so much! It was a pleasure to meet him and we popped into the centre on our last day where Oliver taught us even more! Very happy with our trip and will be visiting him again when we’re back on the island

We met with Oliver and he passionately expained us about the local finds and what to look for at the beach. I suggest to come early on your trip, as after getting tips on what to look for going for walks on the beaches are much more for fun when you know what to look for. We found these 80 million year old sponges, some fossilized coal and fools gold which he was kind to identify for us on email :) Beaches here are beautiful by themselves, but add the treasure hunt and it has a new dimension.

It was interesting to say the least 😅 The car park was just a field, a very muddy one, and my car got very dirty from it. The museum was very small and was just in a barn, but it was quite interesting despite that. It was good to pass the time. You could sift through sand to find dinosaur teeth from the beach, and then you could pick your 3 favourites and keep them. It was quite informative nethertheless.
