Island Holidays - Island House

Island House is a single-storey property on its own island in Chelmsford, with the river running through the grounds. Everything you need is here: a kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, Aga, microwave, dishwasher and fridge; a living room with woodburner and smart TV; one bedroom with a king-size sleigh bed; and a shower room. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen are included, plus initial fuel for the woodburner. There is one parking space on site.

The house opens onto a front garden with seating areas and a terrace overlooking the weir. Walking trails begin at the property—the towpath is close by, with barges, a lock and a tea room. Chelmsford itself has museums, shops and restaurants; Danbury Country Park is nearby for longer walks. The racecourse hosts meetings and summer concerts. Note that the river in the grounds is unfenced. No smoking inside the property.
