About Premier Inn Chelmsford Springfield

With the A12 close by and Chelmsford city centre a short drive away, Premier Inn Chelmsford Springfield makes a handy base for exploring the area. Nearby options include a golf course, fishing spots, horse riding and local entertainment venues, plus a good spread of pubs and restaurants for evenings out.

The hotel has 92 rooms across three floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in the room, along with free Wi-Fi throughout. Accessible rooms and a lift are available, and 24 hour reception means arrivals and departures are straightforward at any time. Rooms are generally well-kept and comfortable, though some visitors have noted a stale smell in certain rooms.

A restaurant and bar on site cover breakfast and evening meals, both prepared fresh, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. There's an on-site electric vehicle charge point too. Parking is available directly in front of the hotel, though it comes at a cost rather than being free, which is worth factoring into any stay.

Arrived today for 2 nights leisure stay. Had excellent evening meal. Good polite service. Room clean and tidy as always. The only issue was the USB charger on one side of the bed wasn't working. Not too much of a problem but couldn't charge both phones at once. Overall great place to stay.

Excellent hotel, stayed here many times through work but am now changing jobs so will be unlikely to visit Chelmsford in future. Always stay in Premier Plus rooms which are lovely to stay in and always clean and comfortable. I've no complaints about the food (never had a bad meal) and the meal deal is very good value for money. The staff are friendly, polite and always happy to help. I often walk out of there feeling more important than I am! I mentioned yesterday afternoon that this was most likely my last night there and during my evening meal they brought me over a free drink to say farewell! If you get the chance to stay here I would highly recommend it.

I was given a room on the top floor, and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The room does not have air conditioning, and although there is a fan, it is extremely noisy. I couldn’t sleep at all and I’m writing this review at 2:00 a.m. because of the discomfort. The only positive aspects of my stay were the food and the staff, who were both excellent

The only reason it is not a 5 star review is becuase of lack of air-conditioning. Hotel very nice, bar and restaurant area very comfortable and Jordan who served us at breakfast and the guy in reception were exceptional. Jordan also took our baggage into safe keeping and as I had an old RAF Flight bag shared a family story about the RAF. He has great people skills and should be used as to show other branches how to treat customers.
