As first-time visitors to the Cotswolds, we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay than The Lansdowne B&B. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome, and the hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional. A special thank you to Corrine, who was incredibly helpful from start to finish. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us some fantastic recommendations on places to visit, which really helped us make the most of our first trip to the Cotswolds. Our room was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and after a day exploring the beautiful villages, it was the perfect place to unwind. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with plenty of choice and delicious, high-quality food. The location is ideal too – just a short walk into the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water, making it easy to explore all the local attractions. Our first visit to the Cotswolds was unforgettable, and The Lansdowne played a huge part in making it so special. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming place to stay.

Cute guesthouse convenient to Bourton-on-the-Water village. We were given Room 14, which was large and had a very spacious bathroom -- the largest by about 4X of any place we stayed in for the whole trip (5 hotels in different cities). Perhaps not all of the rooms have this giant bathroom, but it was a real treat after the cramped ones we'd experienced elsewhere. The lodging includes breakfast, which was a full English breakfast if you wished ... not merely fruit, yogurt, cereal and pastries (although they had those as well). It's an easy walk into the town, and we took advantage of the walking footpaths close by as well. We walked a 5-mile loop up to Upper and Lower Slaughter and back again, as well as several other "explores." During the two days, we interacted with several staff members, who were ALL quite friendly and nice. They left complimentary chips and sodas in our room, which was a lovely addition. (We also had beers in our fridge, but they kindly swapped them for sodas when we asked.) Parking is available, which was a big plus. I'd definitely recommend a stay here if you're coming to Bourton-on-the-Water.

We stayed one enjoyable evening here last night in the boutique quarters. Staff were friendly and helpful checking in, they had arranged a birthday card, flowers and some birthday bunting which was a great touch. The room could have been bigger, but it came with a great size bathroom. The room was boiling on arrival and took some time with the window open to cool down, on the lowest radiator setting. It would be beneficial to have a bigger mini fridge and it was rather noisy humming away. Those small things aside, it is a wonderful b&b to stay at. Super special shout out to Carmel, the supervisor who personally went above and beyond when we couldn't get a taxi service to and from a local destination. Breakfast was nice, tasty and fresh. You didnt have to order the night before which is a good touch, the sausage especially good. I would've liked to have seen more food on the plate, one of everything doesn't quite hit the spot and could do with black pudding etc for the price. That aside, it was a great start to our day and the staff were great with super service. If we are ever in this neck of the woods, we would love to return.
