About Wyck Hill House Hotel And Spa
The Cotswolds countryside around Cheltenham provides the backdrop for Wyck Hill House Hotel And Spa, a Georgian country house set back from the A424 Burford Road. It's the kind of setting that suits a slower pace, with gardens to wander and easy access into Cheltenham itself for racing at the famous course or a day out at Sudeley Castle.
Inside, the hotel offers 60 rooms, each finished in either a contemporary Mediterranean style or with more traditional antique furnishings, so the character varies from room to room while keeping a consistently comfortable standard. Guests have use of air conditioning, free WiFi, and drinks service in the room, with a lift making all floors accessible.
Facilities extend well beyond the bedrooms: there's a restaurant and bar for dining, a spa and sauna, an indoor swimming pool, and a gym for those keen to keep up a routine while away. The property also handles meetings and weddings, backed by concierge and laundry services, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward.
What guests say
Staff throughout the hotel during each part of our stay were very welcoming, professional and accommodating. The treatments in the Spa were fantastic and again the staff were very attentive and friendly whilst professional. The quality of our dinner was amazing, thoroughly enjoyed every course. We went for a feature room which was superb. The bed was so comfortable and the views were amazing. Breakfast was also a delight in the Orangery. The whole experience was extremely relaxing and enjoyable and would definitely recommend. We will stay again next year as also a great location.

Booked for my wife to stay here for a night away from the kids with a meal and a couple of spa treatments. She had a wonderful time and came home with nothing negative to say. She took a friend and try were both blown away, particularly by the quality of the food. Not only was it incredible quality (their compliments to the chef!) but they both said the food was served in actual portion sizes that filled you up. Room was larger than expected, clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful whilst I was booking and made various amendments without making me feel like I was putting them out (this happens far more often than you'd expect!) and were very attentive during the stay. The Happy Birthday chocolates served after dinner were a lovely touch. Grounds are stunning, only the cold weather and snow stopped my wife exploring more. Both said their spa treatments were very enjoyable and both want to come back soon! All in all, I can't recommend enough, Thank you!!

The hotel is lovely, if I were to be picky, perhaps some of the corridors and stairwells are in need of some love. However it was warm, the rooms really comfortable. However what made the weekend for us were the staff. So many went above and beyond to make our weekend so special. Nothing was too much trouble and always done with a smile. The food was excellent, the drinks were well priced and the breakfast was superb. Thank you all for making the weekend special.

This hotel is set in large grounds and was a stately home in the past. We were there 10 years ago and decided to return. Unfortunately the owners had decided to sell the property and the new owners were not able to accommodate our group of 10 with the full range of amenities advertised when we had originally booked. We decided to continue with our booking as the owners offered discounted room rates. They were not able to offer the evening meal which had been booked so only bed and breakfast basis. The service from the staff was professional and the breakfast was adequate although several items of food were missing from the plate with no explanation other than they were having trouble with the gas hobs. The building was due for a total refurbishment according to the new owners and this was evident in the rooms and public areas which were looking tired decor and design wise. We had a nice time out at some local pubs for food. All in all the hotel was comfortable if a bit shabby in places. I might try it again in another 10 years.
