Juniper Cottage
Cherwell
Juniper Cottage dates from the 1600s and was built from the local Hornton ironstone that gives the Cherwell landscape its distinctive character. The owners have refurbished it to keep period features—flagstone and wooden floors, an inglenook fireplace with wood-burning stove—while adding the basics that make a holiday comfortable: heating, hot water, a proper kitchen. The cottage is yours entirely; it sleeps four across two double bedrooms and has one bathroom.
Downstairs, the dining room opens to a kitchen fitted with a full range of appliances and patio doors leading to a decked sitting area. The living room centres on that inglenook and stove, good for autumn and winter evenings. Upstairs, both bedrooms are generously sized. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. The enclosed garden beyond the decking offers space to sit out, and there are steps down to a lower section where you can find quiet. A pub is within a mile. Parking is on the road. Smoking is not permitted. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
