Wells Cottage

Walk through the door of Wells Cottage and you're in a three-storey stone building that dates from the early 1800s but has been thoroughly updated inside. The ground floor holds a living room with a smart TV and electric woodburner, opening into a kitchen and dining space with a full range of appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. Two bedrooms sit on the first and second floors, each with a kingsize bed; the second floor bedroom has an ensuite shower room, while the first floor bedroom connects to a bathroom with bath and shower. On the top landing, two comfortable chairs offer a quiet spot to settle in with a book or a view. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included.

The cottage has a lawned garden with patio, garden furniture and a gas barbecue—the garden does contain 8 steps. One well-behaved pet stays free. A pub sits within a mile, and the shop and restaurant are 200 yards away. You get the whole property to yourself; it suits couples and families. Parking is on road. No smoking indoors.
