Caravan park on the edge of Chester with showers, open March to January.
About Fir Trees Caravan and Lodge Park
Chester sits on the River Dee in Cheshire, known for its medieval walls and Georgian architecture. Fir Trees Caravan and Lodge Park is located just outside the town centre on Ferry Lane, offering a base for exploring the area without staying in the heart of the city. The site is landscaped and peaceful, with static caravans and lodges available.
Facilities include showers. The park operates from March through January, closing for two months in winter. Given its position near Chester, the site suits those wanting access to the town's shops, restaurants and riverside walks, but preferring a quieter setting outside the centre itself.

What visitors say
On a positive note, nice well maintained and quiet site. Lovely caravan, all very clean. Great access to river walks. However not a good start to the holiday. On entering the caravan the fridge and freezer doors were wide open, freezer baskets were out on the table and the floor was covered with a soaking wet towel. Also only double bed was made up, so had to go and collect bed linen for a single bed from reception as no one was available to deliver it. Obviously some problems with housekeeping. Poor WI-FI.

This is a beautiful place to get away. Only 10 minutes from the heart of Chester, surrounded by farm land it seems like you are miles from anywhere. Our park home was well equipped including two toilets. Our only gripe was that there was no power when we arrived. It took a short while to discover that the outside isolator was off. A good idea if a unit is unoccupied but it would have been nice if the power was on when we arrived. Apart from that I would recommend Fir Trees to anyone needing to get away and also for anyone needing a base to tour the area from.

We have stayed at the Fir Trees Caravan Park many times over the last four years; most recently last weekend. We stayed in one of the beautiful lodges, very clean, had all the items you could need, very homely and well equipped. The park itself is lovely and peaceful, well kept grounds and friendly people. The park has some lovely walks nearby and is in very close proximity to Chester centre. Another great stay and looking forward to next time already.

I am leaving two reviews, one from myself and the other from my family who stayed here for 7 days in one of the rentals (R19). We own a holiday home on this park, it is the best thing we have ever purchased. Very peaceful, beautiful location and surrounds, very well maintained and excellent management and staff. If you are looking to purchase a holiday home here or rent one then you won't be disappointed, you wouldn't know you are in Chester when you are on the park. Our family stayed here for 7 days in one of the rentals directly opposite our holiday home, they absolutely loved it and will definitely be returning. Our nephew and niece both said they preferred this holiday compared to going abroad. Thanks to Debbie & Bev for making their stay so welcoming.
