What visitors say
This boat canal is very tranquil and provides a pretty and reasonably shady walk combining it with a bit of bird spotting! The cafe is very pleasant and you can buy your tickets here for a boat trip, or collect if you booked online. I did this with some fellow walkers a month ago and saw heron, various waders with their chicks, moorhen, and swans with their cygnets.

Such a lovely, peaceful walk that is flat and easy, although it's about 4 miles from beginning to end. At this time of the year there are all kinds of baby birds to be seen. At the end , in the marina there is a lovely little restaurant that has a good menu, good food and is not overpriced.
