Fernhurst Village sits within easy reach of the South Downs, with Black Down—the National Park's highest point—accessible on foot. Old Rectory Cottage occupies its own corner of the village, a self-contained ground-floor property with a separate entrance, private parking for two cars, and a south-facing walled garden where a hot tub waits for evening use.
Inside, everything flows as open plan: living space with a wood burner and Smart TV, a kitchen equipped to cook proper meals, and a bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom has both bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all included. The owners live nearby and provide a welcome pack with coffee, tea and cooking basics; logs for the fire come with the booking. A glazed stable door opens directly onto the garden, where you'll find seating and a barbecue.
The village green lies a two-minute walk away, home to a 16th-century pub serving lunch and dinner, a recreation ground, and the starting point for numerous walking and cycling routes across the Downs. No smoking inside the property.
