About Clarefield Copse Wild Camping
A secluded, simple site in the middle of the South Downs National Park? Splendid. Those who look for space and fine views while on a rural break should consider a stay at Clarefield Copse Wild Camping, in a quiet corner of Hampshire 15 minutes' drive from Petersfield.
As you might expect from a spot inside a national park, the views from here are pretty fab – as is the amount of space around the place from which to admire them. The owners have kept things low key so as not to interfere with their natural surrounds, simply installing a shower and toilets (regularly cleaned) and a drinking water supply, leaving plenty of open space to play games, light a barbie and construct a campfire.
Bike rides and walks are top activities around these parts – start by taking a wander by the lake next to the site or on local footpaths, or, just maybe, strolling to the nearest pub in half an hour or so. Many a mile of trail runs through the national park, and there's much more strolling to be done in nearby National Trust properties or on day trips to Chichester and Portsmouth (both half an hour away by car).

Second visit here. Stayed in another field this time which was further away from the toilet, shower and sink facilities I like the speciously laid out pitches with fire pits. The honesty box for chopped wood £8 is great too. Clean facilities though could do with more in the other field.

Lovely place really enjoyed coming up and staying was very quiet only one over guy there we quite liked that to be honest was really peaceful but deffo would like to see them get more business!! People are missing out on a lovely peaceful experience, fire pit with most pitches, toilets and shower. Owner offers fire wood if needed we were checked on in the afternoon but a nice guy and then the rest of the time we left to our lovely pitch we really liked it! Much nicer then a packed site 💖 felt really safe.

Great campsite. Plenty of room so not too close to other pitches. Firepit was good and there are toilets and shower on site. Fairly basic but beautiful setting. The lady who came to greet us after we had set up was very friendly

Lovely, friendly site. Fun foraging for firewood nearby. Beautiful landscapes surrounding. Plenty of wildlife especially birds of prey and owls for any twitchers out there. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Don't really want to let you know about it as we'd like to keep it all for ourselves. Beautifully quiet.
