What diners say
Had a perfect stay here in January to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. They had special treats and an upgrade waiting for us and everyone was warm and welcoming. The magic tea is truly magical! Loved the location, proximity to the tube, and quiet street. Beds are heavenly. What a lovely gem of a place!!

Really really disappointed with our experience at the rooftop terrace. We arrived and were greeted warmly but after that everything else went downhill. One of our glasses on our table was dirty, and when we asked for a new one the server seemed bothered. There was no apology or anything, he just walked off and took it. This was a sign of service to come for the rest of the meal. We had to ask him three times for more water the first time we asked for water, twice the second time and twice the third time. It was like he just didn't want to bring us water. No ice came with our sparkling water or other drinks. We tried to order Skate and was told they didn't have any today. This is a pet peeve of mine. If you know an item of food is not available you should tell people when they sit down NOT when they are trying to order it. Whilst waiting for our food, the server spilt a drink on another table. That drink was still spilled on the floor when we left as no-one had cleared it up. The food: Between us we had the Tuna, the Trout and the Lobster and prawn roll. The tuna was poorly seared and the ragu that came with it was luke-warm. The lobster and prawn roll was bland too, however the avocado puree on the top had a great flavour but the roll was dry. I'm not taking about it being a little bit dry, it was completely dry in the center. The homemade crisps that came with it were...I am not sure how to explain it...they were almost soft with no crunch despite being freshly cooked. The trout was actually fantastic. Perfectly cooked, flavourful and the accompaniments were enjoyable. We ordered cappuccino after our meals and they were brought to us without any sugar or sweetener and we didn't see the server again to ask. We had to take some from the table that has coffee before us. Overall it was a disappointing experience for a place that came highly recommended. The service was simply not what it should have been, and the food was hit and miss.

Loved the experience of staying at Vintry & Mercer. Great location (near the Thames, near the tube) and excellent staff! Tried out the cocktail bar which was fun and the rooftop terrace (bit cold but attentive staff and nice drinks). The room was small bit had everything you need. We loved the complimentary mini bar and toiletries. Slept like a log! Breakfast is nice and great start of the day!

Beautiful hotel with thoughtful design and wonderful amenities. We especially loved the restaurant and the friendly staff. Hearing the church bells from our room was so lovely, and the location made it easy to walk to London Bridge and explore the area. We would absolutely stay here again.
