What diners say
Never realised how busy a breakfast spot would be but that’s The City for you. Caravan has usual breakfast fare at prices you’d expect to find in the area - aka nothing extraordinary but does the job well. Especially enjoyed the black beans in the Veggie Fry, they were probably the highlight of the meal. Carrot ginger juice was decent too. Overall, it’s a lovely spot in/on the Bloomberg Arcade with ample seating. Need to book ahead though as it fills up really quick in the morning (~8am).

Arrived on a weekday afternoon looking for somewhere to work on my laptop for a few hours. Around the City, café options can be surprisingly limited once lunch service winds down, so Caravan was a great find. I arrived just as the lunch rush was ending, which turned out to be perfect. Getting a table was easy, and the space became much quieter as the afternoon went on. If you're planning to work, this is a good time to visit. I started with an iced coffee and later had a glass of white wine. While Caravan isn't the kind of specialist coffee shop I would usually choose, everything was solid and well done. The practical side was particularly good. The wifi was fast and reliable, and the space felt comfortable and well maintained. I also felt reasonably comfortable stepping away from my table briefly, though I wouldn't recommend leaving belongings unattended anywhere in London. One thing to note is the payment system. My bill came to £16.38 using the QR code ordering platform, and I only noticed afterwards that a transaction fee had been added. Overall, I had a very enjoyable afternoon here. Friendly staff, comfortable seating, reliable wifi, and a relaxed atmosphere once the lunch crowd clears out. No real complaints from me.

This is pleasant place to come for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. We got the jalapeño cornbread which comes with a fried egg. You have the option to get the jalapeno cornbread with egg and chorizo. We also tried the Korean style buttermilk fried chicken with kimchi pancakes. These were quite good. Our friends got scrambled eggs on toast with a side of thick bacon and a The Fry. Other popular options are the schnitzel (but this is only available from midday), cod, burrata, avocado toast and pork belly. There are also quite a few vegetarian options. For drinks we had 2 orange juice, 5 flat whites (plus paid 20p extra for oat milk), 1 mocha. There's outdoor seating for the warmer months. They have welcoming staff and can accommodate pushchairs. The price is on par for other restaurants in the city. Between 4 of us we paid £113.06 total including a discretionary service charge (12.5%). Caravan is actually a very solid brunch place and we enjoyed our meals here The “full English” was very good especially the scrambled eggs which were excellent The only disappointment was my poached eggs (on the chorizo dish) which were overcooked and yolk was not runny at all and looked like a solid ping pong ball But otherwise we all enjoyed our meals
