What diners say
If you find yourself near the old banking halls of the City, Cecconi’s The Ned is one of those places that feels a bit more polished than your average stop—but still easy to settle into. Set inside The Ned, the atmosphere leans classic and a little glamorous, with high ceilings and that quiet buzz of people who seem to be either in no rush at all or casually closing deals over lunch. The menu sticks to Italian comfort food—fresh pasta, seafood, well-made classics. Some dishes really hit the mark, especially the simpler ones where the ingredients can stand out. Others can feel a bit safe, especially considering the setting and price. It’s good food, just not always memorable. Service is generally smooth and professional, though it can feel slightly impersonal when it gets busy. You’re well taken care of, but it doesn’t always feel warm. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re in the area and want something a bit more refined without going overly formal. Maybe not the most exciting Italian meal in London, but definitely a pleasant one in a beautiful setting.

Great selection of pastas available. The lobster could have been a little less overpowering. Truffle pasta flavours… strong! I personally love it here for the desserts, you could be eating the same for less elsewhere. Servers are lovely, and I would come again if I was in the area and wanted a decent Italian meal.

This hotel restaurant offers for sure one of the best Sunday buffets in the city. It’s all-you-can-eat in two hours for £165 per person. The supply of lobsters and oysters was more than plenty. The live band and singing performance at the centre of the hotel lobby made the dining experience more enjoyable. Two hours went by blissfully and quickly, and we left with overly filled stomach. It was the Mother’s Day Sunday and each mother was given a little present. Service wise, I think the 14.5% was fair.

I celebrated my leaving party at Cecconi’s at The Ned London, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A special thank you to Mourad, who truly made the evening unforgettable and absolutely perfect. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming from the very beginning. His positive energy and warm personality created the perfect atmosphere for such a special occasion. He made us feel comfortable, well looked after, and genuinely cared for throughout the whole night. Mourad went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and thanks to him, the celebration felt even more meaningful and joyful. He is a real asset to the restaurant, and I’m so grateful he was there to make my leaving party so special. Thank you again for an amazing evening — it was truly fantastic!
