Rosa's Thai Clapham

Very disappointing experience at Rosa’s Thai Clapham. I took my grandparents, both over 80, for what should have been a special family meal. Despite the restaurant not being busy, service was slow throughout. We waited a long time for drinks, had to chase forgotten requests, and staff struggled to answer basic questions about the menu. The food was even more disappointing. The sharing platter was dry and greasy, while the noodle dishes were excessively oily and overly salty. As someone who regularly visits other Rosa’s Thai branches, particularly Wimbledon, this was nowhere near the standard I’ve come to expect. When we raised our concerns, the response felt dismissive and removing the service charge did not address the poor food and service. The amount of food left uneaten speaks for itself. Unfortunately, this branch let the Rosa’s Thai brand down.

I regularly collect delivery orders from Rosa’s Thai Clapham Junction, and unfortunately the experience is consistently disappointing. The staff often behave in a rude and dismissive manner towards delivery drivers. Today, I showed my order number, but the staff member simply looked at it and ignored me without any communication or acknowledgment. There were many orders waiting, several drivers were standing around frustrated, and no one was being updated about delays. It makes drivers feel as though we are not respected and are an inconvenience, rather than partners helping deliver food to your customers. Delivery drivers are an important part of your service. We are here to ensure your customers receive their orders on time, not to ask for free food or special treatment. All we expect is basic courtesy, clear communication, and professional behaviour. I hope you can remind your team that treating delivery drivers with respect benefits everyone, including your customers. Better communication and good manners would make a significant difference to the experience for both drivers and restaurant staff.

Although the restaurant was empty, our food arrived a bit late and we couldn’t understand why. Except for the fried eggplant, everything we ate was delicious. Those who want to try Thai cuisine can easily choose this place, as their menu truly offers well-known and prominent examples of Thai dishes.

How can this tiny papaya salad be worth £12.50?!?! Also, on the night we were there, they were completely out of tofu at 6.30pm. We had two vegetarians in our group who couldn’t eat anything but soup.
