What diners say
Bottomless brunch was shambles. I can’t express my dissatisfaction with the unacceptable experience my group and I had during our recent bottomless brunch at Sugar Cane. We have attended numerous bottomless brunches both in and outside of London, and I can state without hesitation that this was the worst experience we have encountered. To begin with, the cocktails were extremely disappointing. They were noticeably watered down, lacked flavour, and were served in jugs that appeared to contain little more than juice. This is wholly unacceptable for a paid bottomless brunch experience and fell far below any reasonable standard. The situation with the food was even more frustrating. We selected one of the two advertised platter options, which clearly included beef tacos, halloumi, beef skewers and salt and pepper squid. Instead, we were served spring rolls, onion rings, and three unidentified battered items that were neither explained nor part of the advertised menu. When we queried this, we were casually informed that the original items had “run out.” It is completely unacceptable that we were not informed of this prior to being served. Had we been told that the advertised dishes were unavailable, we would not have proceeded. When we made it clear that we did not want substitute items and that this was not what we had paid for, the waiter abruptly walked away and proceeded to avoid us for almost an hour. We were repeatedly forced to chase him, as he continually disappeared downstairs into the kitchen. After requesting a refund multiple times, we were told this was not possible. Despite previously stating that there was no halloumi available, the waiter then reappeared with lamb chops and small pieces of halloumi — neither of which we had requested, nor been consulted about. This entire ordeal involved over an hour of back-and-forth, during which we repeatedly asked to speak to a manager and were not assisted appropriately. It was only after obtaining the manager’s contact details ourselves from another staff member that any resolution was offered. Eventually, we were given £10 each in compensation. This amount does not begin to reflect the inconvenience, poor service, lack of transparency, and misrepresentation of what was advertised. The level of service we experienced was unprofessional, dismissive, and entirely unacceptable. The food did not match what was advertised, the drinks were substandard, and the handling of the complaint on the day was wholly inadequate. Avoid!!

Absolutely best Tiki bar in London. The Zombie and Maitai I had tasted great, was properly strong, and the price was exactly what I was looking for. The bartender was friendly and very skilled. Definitely coming back.

A very special place. This space is larger than a lot of tiki bars. The vibe and decor sets up the mood. Great choice of cocktails and very knowledgeable staff. A perfect place to relax with friends and family. Friendly atmosphere set by the waiters, the service was quick. Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a big selection of drinks. It was a great experience worthy the visit. Make sure you have reservations especially on the weekends. Zombie is must try!!

Me and my friend went yesterday and the service was amazing from start to finish from Gallab. Good hospitality. Highly recommend this bar. Their cocktails are perfect as well as their beef burger, halloumi screwers and chicken wings.
