What visitors say
If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway that respects the environment, this campsite is an excellent choice. It is immediately clear how much care and consideration is put into maintaining the natural surroundings, making it a lovely, eco-conscious haven for anyone wanting to unwind. The site is incredibly peaceful, offering a calm and quiet atmosphere throughout our stay. The facilities are well thought out and very well maintained. The toilets were spacious and spotless, which is always a massive plus. Additionally, the shared amenities are incredibly convenient; they have a van set up for all guests to use, fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, and hobs. It’s a practical touch that makes a rustic camping trip much easier. Overall, it’s a beautifully kept, quiet site run with an obvious respect for nature. We would definitely recommend it!

Lovely eco-friendly campsite. Large plots. Super chill and quiet. Good location. Pub and nice store walking distance. Good base for exploring The Lizard. Recommended!!

We absolutely loved this campsite! Great location - a quiet base from which you can explore much of The Lizard Peninsula. The campsite is very eco-friendly- lots of areas are left semi-wild alongside the camping pitches, meaning the site was teeming with wildlife. We were lucky with the weather during our stay and enjoyed some beautiful clear starry skies at night. Facilities are superb - nothing fancy, but simple and effective. The van with the mini kitchen/fridge and freezer inside is a great idea. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water at the showers and washing up stations. Honesty box for fire supplies, if you need them. The owner gave us a lovely welcome on the day of our arrival. You can tell he genuinely loves the site; there are lots of small touches added around the campsite, without everything being monetised (unlike many other sites!) We're not local to Cornwall, but without a doubt we'll return to Gweek Campsite next time we visit. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer!

Last minute campsite booking whilst cycling the 250km West Kernow Way, friendly and very helpful owner. Great clean and well equipped eco facilities (with handy extras!) and a lovely location en route though be it up yet another steep hill (where isn't!!). Local pub and local produce shop down at the creek at Gweek were a godsend for supplies and fuelling up!
