About Trengilly Wartha Inn
Tucked into six wildlife-rich acres on the edge of the Lizard Heritage Coast, Trengilly Wartha Inn offers a handful of treetop safari tents that come with proper beds, linen, towels and private bathrooms – so you can skip the kit-lugging. Each unit has a kitchen, dining table and sofa inside, plus a built-in barbecue and firepit in the shared garden. The owners are welcoming and genuinely helpful (ask them about hidden beaches), while the award-winning pub next door serves locally sourced dishes like pan-fried pigeon breast and gilt-head bream at fair prices. Wander the grounds with your dog to find a stream and lake circled by woods and meadows, or venture ten minutes to the Helford river.
The site itself can feel a touch remote if you're after bustle, but that's exactly the appeal for those craving peace. Falmouth sits 25 minutes away for supplies, or there's a small shop five minutes' drive in Nancenoy. With 350 Cornish beaches within reach and staff who genuinely care, it's a gentle, grown-up escape.

What visitors say
Called in for a drink during the day and asked to see the menu which had some really interesting dishes so returned in the evening for a meal. Absolutely delicious. For starters husband and son had pigeon breast pan fried with a mushroom sauce and I had Beetroot, roasted walnut salad with fig and feta cheese. Then we each had Fillet of Guilt Head bream (caught from the Helford river) in a fabulous dressing with very nice steamed veg before deserts. Everything was beautifully cooked. The lady behind the bar was lovely and attentive. Great place to visit - dog friendly; wish we lived nearer (from County Durham).

Had the most wonderful stay at the Trengilly Wartha Inn last weekend. We stayed in one of the self contained apartments which was just perfect for us. Clean and comfortable, lots of hot water and good shower, a kitchen for making meals, etc. although we ended up eating in the pub most of the time as the food was so good. The drive there was very pretty and great spots for walks nearby. An absolute highlight and completely unexpected, was the beautiful gardens at the pub. I loved taking our dog for peaceful morning walk through the bluebell woods, past the stream and the gunaras and sitting over looking the valley or the lake. The owners Will and Lisa were super friendly too and told us about the events they put on over the summer, so now planning our next trip!

Absolutely beautiful location. Everyone we met who worked at the inn/site were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a safari tent and it was well thought out, plenty of utensils etc. The hot water bottles were a great addition, it was very cold in the tent tent, - even with the stove. Although, I imagine it would be glorious in the warmer weather! We all liked that each tent has it's own wet room, my only comment would be a bathmat would be great. The wet rooms get quite muddy and it would be nice to have something clean to stand on after you have showered and want to dry yourself. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Extra friendly. Parked for night in lower carpark for eating meal. Very reasonable and tasty. Lovely gardens and field to walk the dog in next morning b4 we left. NB the lanes are very narrow with sharp bends!
