Bryn Rhos Goch
Conwy
Bryn Rhos Goch comes with everything needed for a self-catering break already in place. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with electricity and initial logs for the woodburner. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking with an electric cooker and microwave. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed. One well-behaved dog can stay free, though it must be kept on a lead in this sheep country.
The cottage sits in the village of Cwm Penmachno within Snowdonia National Park. Ground floor holds a living and dining room with a 23-inch TV and DVD player, plus a kitchen and shower room with cubicle. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed (4ft 6in), the other with a single (3ft) and a child's single (2ft 6in). A patio area faces the front with garden furniture, and parking for two cars is 50 yards away. The woodburner provides winter warmth; there is also an electric fan heater. Mobile phone signal and TV reception don't reach here, but that suits the pace of the place.
Walking in Gwydyr Forest, cycling the local trails and exploring Snowdonia's peaks are on the doorstep. Betws-y-Coed, with its adventure attractions, is nearby; Llandudno and Conwy are within reach. The nearest shop is 3 miles away, a pub 4 miles, and restaurants further afield. No smoking inside.
